Stories bring insights to life. In this workshop, HR and L&D professionals will build skills for turning research, findings, and observations into compelling narratives that influence stakeholders. Through hands-on exercises, you’ll learn how to identify key insights and trends and use techniques for crafting audience-tailored narratives focused on those findings, using relatable examples and anecdotes. You’ll practice shaping narratives for various stakeholders, from executives to frontline employees. Additionally, you’ll gain skills in visual storytelling to reinforce narratives through charts and imagery.
We’ll explore storytelling techniques to make your insights easy to digest and memorable. You’ll learn how to bring stories to life through impactful delivery, applying strategies for tone, and cadence. More importantly, we’ll examine how to craft narratives that motivate and inspire. You’ll have the chance to practice and get feedback, and will leave equipped to uncover great stories in your insights and turn them into narratives and visuals that engage audiences and drive change.

Hadiya Nuriddin has two decades of experience in learning strategy, instructional design, elearning development, and facilitation. She worked in corporate learning before choosing to found her firm, Duets Learning, where she’s worked with a wide array of companies on a variety of topics. She speaks at events and industry conferences and travels teaching courses for the Association for Talent Development (ATD). Hadiya holds an MEd in curriculum studies, an MA in writing, and the Certified Professional in Talent Development (CPTD) designation. She is the author of the book StoryTraining: Selecting and Shaping Stories That Connect, published by ATD.
